A Carbon Footprint: The amount of greenhouse gases a person, group, or orginization emit into the air. Carbon and other gases are bad for the environment because the destroy the ozone layer and cause the temperatures to rise.

Greenhouse gases: Gases such as carbon, sulfur, nitrogen, and methane prevent heat from leaving the atmosphere and therefor, raise the temperature.

Ozone Layer: a layer in the atmosphere that blocks UV rays from the sun
